The excitement is unbearable.
Okay so it’s not Middle-earth related but I felt I had to share this news.
My love for the stories of Sherlock Holmes has been duly discussed in some of my posts here. Now I can finally reveal that my first ever book will be released on June 13th!
The Trials of Sherlock Holmes is a collection of interlinked short stories about the detective and his companion, Dr Watson.
This is a big deal for me as I never imagined writing a book one day, let alone getting it published thanks to the amazing people at MX Publishing.
It all feels a bit surreal and exciting.
Who knows, I might eventually end up writing something about the good old Tolkien himself or his works one day 😉
In the meantime, if you’re interested in finding out more about the book, here’s the description page from the publisher’s site.
And what do you know? I’m on Amazon and Amazon UK too 😉
While we’re at it, let me shamelessly plug once more my other blog dealing with Holmesian literature at: apalaceforthemind.wordpress.com
Till next time …
Mazel tov!
Yay!
Nice, James! Congratulations on your new book, but let not the memories of Middle Earth fade from thy mind!
Thanks! Certainly not! Middle-earth will always be there. Always.
Awesome! Congratulations!
Thanks 🙂
Congratulations!! Great job!
Thanks Olga!
Ahh! That’s really cool and exciting! Congratulations!
Thank you!
Yay!!! Congratulations! Looking forward to the Middle-earth publication next! 😉
Thanks! 😀
Congratulations! I’m working on short stories at the moment, but will eventually move on to novels. It’s bold of you to tackle such a well-defined and famous character. But now I must ask: do you have a preferred Holmes actor? 🙂
Thanks David, best of luck with your writing!
As for a Holmes actor, well, I’ve seen a pretty extensive range but I’ll have to settle on Cumberbatch and Brett. Can’t choose between the two given the difference in the period 😉
Fair enough! I’m for Brett pretty solidly, but Cumbernatch does a capable spin on the character.
Congratulations! That’s a wonderful accomplishment.
Thanks!
