I feel I ought to explain myself a little for the recent absence of posts on this blog.
The truth is this.
I’ve buried myself within the deductive world of Sherlock Holmes, and with the recent release of the new series of Sherlock, all things Middle-earth were temporarily (I repeat, temporarily) put on hold.
As a matter of fact, I’m developing a little blog on the detective sleuth which you can find here: A Palace for the Mind.
I hope you won’t mind the occasional nudge towards the other blog.
Which reminds me, I’m also merging my YouTube channel on Tolkien with this new blog. In fact, I’ve uploaded a new video today!
Don’t worry though, new Middle-earth posts coming soon (Holmesian posts too) …

And I understand how the new Sherlock would take you out of the loop. I’m part way through rewatching the new season… continue to be disappointed by episode one and enjoy 2 and 3… looking forward to future posts on both blogs!
Need to re-watch the first one. Agree, found it a bit lacking but 2nd and 3rd episodes were great!

I read all of the stories years ago, and they’ve always had a special place in my heart. At the time, I wanted to learn to write mysteries. I never did feel like I learned the techniques to write that genre well, but I did develop a new love for Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. 🙂
I actually read all the stories pretty recently and just fell in love with them! 😀
