Have you started the countdown?
It’s exactly 369 days (if my calculations are correct), until the release of ‘There and Back Again’ on December 17, 2014.
If you’re despairing over such a long wait before seeing the resolution of the story, there’s plenty of ways you can pass the time.
Thankfully, we’ve already been through two or three years of arduous waiting and those have resulted in two beautifully crafted Hobbit films. You can easily indulge yourselves in the first and second films as much as you like – speculating, commenting, analyzing, appreciating or simply delving once more into the world of Middle-earth.
But I was almost forgetting!
Undoubtedly, you can also re-read for the nth time ‘The Hobbit’ or ‘The Lord of the Rings’.
Why not try and tackle ‘The Silmarillion’ this time, which you’ve been trying to avoid for a long time now? Already read it? Read it again! You’ll discover more and more little details which you would have missed the first, second or third time round.
Honestly, you can’t get more Middle-earthy than the books themselves (with the visuals of the 5 films in mind – pure bliss 😀 ).
Plus, keep on reading this blog over the next year. I’ll do my best to keep you (and myself) busy with everything Tolkien – in order to “ease off” the pain of waiting.
So hang on tight and get ready for another year of adventure! 🙂
