I’m not a person that is easily fond of his own work – especially when it comes to writing; I’ve got a rather pessimistic outlook towards it. It mainly arises out of the urge to constantly try to revise and improve the text to suit the reader and making it worthy of a good read.
Nonetheless, I was very much surprised a month or two back when I was able to write a quite detailed analysis/review of ‘The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey’ – in which I was able to express my opinions about every scene in the film. Copious amounts of viewing since December 2012 helped me to compose much of the (admittedly) very lengthy article over the course of a couple of hours.
And ever since I saw ‘The Return of the King’ in 2003, I’ve always wanted to write an intricate review (accompanied by instructive screenshots) of the entire trilogy.
10 years is, I believe, quite a long enough time for my ideas to gestate accordingly and undertake such a laborious task. Nonetheless, I’m currently busy working on all three films at once, and will be delivering three extensive articles on the Extended Editions of the Trilogy. (I’ll also be doing a shorter review on the extended edition of ‘An Unexpected Journey’ once it’s released)
In the meantime, starting from tomorrow, I’ll be posting a couple of Middle-earth related articles I wrote a few years back. At the same time, I’m also working on a very particular post, which I’ll be posting soon…
Ah so much work to do! Better get on writing! š
I am very excited, cant wait to read it. Keep up the good work.
I can not wait to read them…
